Great, take your time, and the right time is always the right time.

We all have full plates, and overwhelming some times, so do household :). Economize - of greek Oikos = House.

This is a Café House, which does not get better than the guests - we set the tone :).

Peace,
Anders

Hi, a welcomed comeback with a new account. Enjoy your stay, and hope we can be of help here in the Café to make the change-making women change even better and more.

With Change as the 2009 Buzzword beyond the campaign that elected the new president, I hope we see change for real. And not just ending up in a buzzword, don't you think?

Peace,
Anders

Profile Information

Hometown:
Sherborne, Dorset, UK
About Me:
I live in a beautiful part of rural England, and enjoy walking with my partner in the woods, gardening and generally leading a simple life! That is, when i'm not working. My work is pretty high-tech as i run an online women's organisation with a virutal office and spend much of the day on the computer!
Business/organization website:
http://www.womenforachange.org
Other websites:
http://www.womenforachangecommunity.ning.com
Occupation:
Co-founder of The Women for a Change Foundation and Women for a Change Community Enterprises, both non-profits registered companies, with WFACCE being the Foundation's trading arm - a social enterprise.
The Women for a Change Foundation is a voluntary organisation, registered in the UK.
The Foundation has been set up to link Women Who Help with Women in Need, throughout the world.
As a grassroots movement for change, we promote cooperation and understanding between women from diverse cultures and backgrounds.
The multicultural community is where dynamic women come together to share expertise, skills and resources in order to help the organisation achieve its objectives. One of hte objectives of the Foundation is to promote sustainable, ethical business.
The trading arm promotes and markets ethical businesses (where at least half the owners/managers are women.) and profits will go to the Foundation.
Why I entered this Café, and what I expect from being here, joining up with community members:
To meet others interested in making fundamental positive changes in the world through promoting social enterprise and sustainable business. I know in my heart that through cooperating we can achieve so much more - in fact it's the only way we can achieve real and lasting change.
My three main recommendations for community members:
Be willing to look at how you can collaborate with others, rather than compete.
Your vision, mission and values determine the type of people you attract to your organisation.
